Graduated from Drexel University with an MBA in finance. Worked for the American Friends Service Committee (www.afsc.org), an international organization co-recipient of the 1947 Nobel Peace Price. Guided by the Quaker belief in the divine light of each person, AFSC works with people of all faith and backgrounds to challenge unjust systems and promote lasting peace. Participated, as an operations manager, in the re-engineering of a multinational institution Sunlife Financial (www.sunlife.ca), in preparation to its Initial Public Offering (IPO). Coordinated productively, over a sixth month period, the work of different individuals, teams, organizations and ministries of heath of 122 countries attending the 2008 Global Ministerial Forum on Research for Health, working in different location and time zones in preparation of their participation in the forum. Participated significantly and successfully in a cross-border polio vaccination campaign on June 2008, following an April 2008 report of a polio case at Tillabéry in southwest Niger (100km from the borders of Mali and Burkina Faso), in a very hostile environment. The vaccination campaign led to Mali receiving certification as polio-free country in October 2008, four months after the vaccination campaign. Advised MDRI executive director, Dr. Zaw Oo, Senior economic advisor to the president of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, in the setting up of a Micro Finance Institution (MFI), specifically targeted to migrant workers, in the state of MON, Myanmar.
